Sign up online today for your appointment with our photographer! The photographer is coming October 19–23.

There will be a volunteer sign–up table, after the worship service. Volunteers are needed to help people make the appointments in September and October, to make reminder calls in the week of the appointments and to greet people when they come to have their pictures taken. Also, if you have a picture of a church event to put in the front of the directory, please send it to Lisa Fogg at daisyd_25@yahoo.com. Please consider being a part of this vital project to help members stay connected. “Many hands make light work.”

Our English Language Center will be opening for the 2010–2011 session on September 21. Consider becoming a tutor for a fun two hours helping an International improve their English. Applications and information are available in the church office.

“Ghana Do It” Walk–A–Thon

The “Ghana Do It” Walk–A–Thon is on Sunday, September 12 after worship. Start and finish are outside in the church plaza. Support the children of FPC by sponsoring them. This kid–friendly walk will be around three miles through the Portland Zoo. All funds will go to the children’s sponsor child, Emmanuel, from Ghana.

FPC is recruiting volunteers for a Saturday, September 18 free clinic at Memorial Coliseum (please note the new location). Medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, social services and childcare will be offered through Downtown Compassion from 9a.m.-4p.m. Call the church office now to sign up or get more information.

Farmers’ Table

Farmers” Table is now open on Sundays after worship at 12:15 p.m. in Geneva Hall. The Hers, our Hmong farmers, will be selling their pesticide-and herbicide-free produce and flowers until approximately 12:45 p.m. Shop for the nutritious food-for-life they have harvested for our palates, stomachs, and spirits! Your support is deeply appreciated!
