Adult Ed: Exploring the Message of Dietrich Bonhoeffer for Today With Guest Speaker Mark Dodson
For three Sundays, guest speaker Mark Dodson will lead a series about Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s legacy and relevance for today as a disciple, great Christian, and moral leader. As a college student, Dodson had the privilege of studying with Bonhoeffer’s best friend, Eberhard Bethge, the man who compiled and published his letters and papers, and he later interviewed others who served in the church struggle against Hitler and the pro-Nazi church leaders of the time. Dodson believes that Bonhoeffer’s example and message are as relevant today as when he met his untimely death just weeks before the end of the War. As a fellow Presbyterian, he is looking forward to this class. Childcare is available upon request at least one week in advance. Light refreshments will be served.
