Yesterday, we started the morning at the primary school going around as a group with teacher Beth talking to many of the classrooms about the U.S. and how important it is to read. A few of us also read a children’s book to the younger classrooms, including a Clifford’s book. Later in that afternoon, we went to watch soccer tournaments with both the boy’s and girl’s team between other school teams.

Greetings from the team in Kamwenge. Our trip here went very smoothly. The flights were on time — even early. Still, over twenty hours spent in a plane. John Mulindabigwe and his son Josh Mulindabigwe met us at the airport. They took us to our hotel — the Santa Maria. Yes, the Santa Maria, so naturally we took a picture of Lindsey in front of the sign for the hotel. The next day we embarked on the long journey by van to the Kamwenge School.
