Current Course: The Epistle to the Hebrews – A Bridge Between Old & New Testaments (Apr 26; May 2, 17, 31; Jun 7, 11:30 am, Heritage with Rev. Andrew Wall)
Join Pastor Andrew Wall for a new Adult Ed class at FPC! We’re be working our way through the Book of Hebrews, discerning its message and discussing how it ties our understanding of the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament together. Oftentimes we can wonder how the Old and New Testaments are connected. The Book of Hebrews offers us a picture of how what God has accomplished in Christ is not something new, but rooted in what has come before. All are welcome to join this exciting and informative time of discussion and learning together. Want to know more about the class before showing up? Feel free to email Andrew at awall@firstpresportland.org with your questions.
Previous Course: Homosexuality & the Bible (with Rev. Carmen Goetschius)
In 2025, as part of the Christian Education program, Rev. Carmen Goetschius delivered a lecture focused on homosexuality and its interpretation in the Bible.
