Registration Is Now Open!

 

Registration is now open for our 3rd Annual Walk the Wildwood! Join us on Saturday, August 10, for this family-friendly event, raising funds to build two new vocational school dorms at Kamwenge Secondary and Vocational School in Uganda. Choose from three guided walking routes (including a new one-mile route) through Washington and Forest Parks, followed by a boxed lunch at Stevens Pavilion.

This year, Walk the Wildwood is partnering with GotSneakers? to raise funds and keep sneakers out of landfills. We will receive payment for every pair of used sneakers donated, with a higher price for those in better condition. Drop off your sneakers in Geneva Hall or at the Walk the Wildwood event on August 10. Don’t forget to ask your friends and family if they have sneakers they’d like to donate too. This effort will not only help support the school in Uganda but also help the environment.
