Mark your calendars! FPC’s Women’s Retreat will take place at Menucha from Friday, April 14, through Sunday, April 16, 2023. The Rev. Dr. Barbara Campbell will speak at this year’s retreat. “In a culture that seems completely divided over issues of morality and ethics, she will invite us to consider the challenging foolish grace of Jesus (which are echoed by Judaism, and Islam) in light of the opposing worldly wisdom that culture often proposes. Using information from interfaith, ancient history, language studies, and examples from current social ideas, we will examine the hard moral and ethical values the Abrahamic traditions share.” Registration will take place on Sundays during coffee hour in Geneva Hall. Look for the table marked “Women’s Retreat Registration.” One of our volunteers will happily assist you through the process. Overnight accommodations are $185, and commuters will be [...]

Do you have a kid(s) willing to play a SHORT game with grown-ups who will “Pay [...]

August 2022: Change in Masking Recommendations

Due to the transmissibility of present variants of the virus and high levels of the virus in our county, our Session now strongly recommends following Oregon Health Authority guidelines and masking for those attending worship or coffee hour indoors.   Those attending coffee hour indoors may unmask while eating and drinking. While hospitalization rates have fallen from earlier peaks, there is concern that some 1 in 5 people who become infected go on to develop long Covid.  Thanks for your help in keeping those who are vulnerable safe in this season!
